Caravanning
Little Stubbins also run a five van Caravan Club camp site. The
site is adjacent to the property but is screened from the house. The site is
set in farm land with two working farms nearby and woodland in the
background.
The site was made exclusively for adults in order to retain the quiet and
peaceful nature of the area.
Responsible dog owners are welcome with normal Caravan Club rules
enforced. The use of the heated toilet and shower block is included in the
site fee.
Walking
Little Stubbins is surrounded by magnificent walking country. Local guide
books and maps are available for use. Clothes drying facilities are
available. Popular places to visit are Nicky Nook, Beacon Fell, Brock
Bottoms and Grizedale Valley. You can use Little Stubbins as a base
for excursions to the following renowned walking areas:-
- Lake District
- Forest of Bowland
- The Pennines
Cycling
Cyclists can use Little Stubbins to explore the Lancashire Cycle Way,
which is located about 400 yards away.
Golf
If you have brought your golf clubs with you, you can play at the nearby Garstang Golf Course which offers "pay and play" golf.
Fishing
Canal, river and coarse fishing are available locally. Please ask for details.
Mircolights and Gliders
The Northern Microlights School and the Bowland Forest Gliding Club are
located within 5 miles of Little Stubbins. Both establishments offer
trial lessons that will introduce you to these exciting sports. |
